DAMS: Congratulations on securing a
good ranks. What is the secret of your
success in this exam?
Dr. Devesh: Just hard work, revision and proper guidance from teachers, seniors and friends.

DAMS: How did your parents, family and
friends contribute to your success?
Dr. Devesh: My parents and friends always supported me that u can do it. They always boost up my confidence and influenced me for studies.

DAMS: Who influenced you to take up
Medicine?
Dr. Devesh: My parents and sister influenced me to take Dentistry but I always wanted to be Cardiologist.

DAMS: We appreciate the fact that
preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During
your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Dr. Devesh: No. I didn’t doubt my ability to succeed but there was always a pressure which we have to overcome for proper studies.

Which books did you read for the theory part?
Dr. Devesh: Profitt, Philips, Mc Donald.

books did you read for MCQ revision? Which revision books were the most productive
and which were least?
Dr. Devesh: Pulse, Wadhwan, sharan , Gouri Shankar, Prabhakar, NBDE.

DAMS : How important you think was DAMS in your preparation ?
Dr. Devesh: DAMS was important for me for clearing all my doubts and controversial which were discussed in FB group and test series was helpful for my subject wise revision. I suggest every student to join DAMS regular course.
DAMS: What do you think is the better
way of preparation between selective, intensive study and wide, extensive study?
What did you choose as your style of studying?
Dr. Devesh: My style of studying was extensive earlier but as time passed and after having a base my style of studying shifted towards selective study. Now I required only few hours to revise a subject.

DAMS: Indian PG entrances are highly
competitive so to compete them students end up in appearing in multiple PG
exams , kindly extend your views on this and also their pros and cons of
appearing in multiple PG entrances .
Dr. Devesh: It is better to give the entire exam as we get practise through it, our loop whole, our weakness, the topic at which we are weak. So I suggest everyone to give every exam possible.

DAMS: Which subjects did you focus on?
Dr. Devesh: I focussed mainly on Dental Clinical Subjects because maximum new questions are from these subject only specially Ortho, Endo, Perio, Oral Surgery.

DAMS: What was your strategy for the
exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Dr. Devesh: I didn’t have any strategy for exam day. I just decided that I will give my best and rest it was left up to god.

DAMS: What do you want to specialize
in, why and where?
Dr. Devesh: I want to specialise in Oral Surgery or Prostho because I like those subject from starting of my BDS and my teachers has developed interest in me for those subjects.

DAMS: Which teachers in DAMS influenced
you most and what do you like about DAMS and would recommend to your juniors?
Dr. Devesh: Gaurav Sir has influenced me most and I am taking guidance from him regularly . And I also recommend my juniors to always take guidance from him.
