He secured Rank 7 IN KCET Exam, Rank-28 AIIMS May 2012

DAMS: Congratulations on securing a good ranks. What is the secret of your success in this exam?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
THANKS A TON, ITS NO SECRET, JUST A MANTRA DAMS.. DAMS …DAMS !!

DAMS: How did y:our parents, family and friends contribute to your success?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
FAMILY esp DAD always believed in me. At times more than me Myself.. friends were a pillar of strength .. MY Free time pupp-ups & low phase Push-UPS are dedicated to them.

DAMS: Who influenced you to take up Medicine?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
MY MOM & DAD.. Definitely.. I have always seen them excelling in there field. Always made me push hard for the same excellence in my studies. I want to be as good an OPTHALMOLOGIST as my dad

DAMS: We appreciate the fact that preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
Every alternate Day. . But my results to TESTS in DAMS were AN INCENTIVE TO KEEP LONG FOR IT

DAMS: Which books did you read for the theory part?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
in my MBBS , i read ROBBINS, DAVIDSON, BAILEY ETC (All books that are normally read by ANY average medical student of INDIA)

DAMS : Which books did you read for MCQ revision? Which revision books were the most productive and which were least?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
AA & MK are sufficient enough for the exams. DAMS notes + touch UPS 4 m subject wise books enrich. Your knowledge to tackle new questions. Any subject wise & MCQ book will do.


DAMS : How important you think was DAMS in your preparation ?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
OH .. so crucial . .. AS I was telling MY FRIEND .. IF it wasn’t DAMS .. It wud have been “Toppers .. MEDIOCRES … FIFTY FEET OF CARP … AND THEN ME”

DAMS: What do you think is the better way of preparation between selective, intensive study and wide, extensive study? What did you choose as your style of studying?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
SELECTIVE INTESTIVE DURING LAST MONTHS.. BUT CONSOLIDATE WELL BEFORE YOU GO INTO THE SHELL OF selective intensive study of 4 months before exams.

DAMS: Indian PG entrances are highly competitive so to compete them students end up in appearing in multiple PG exams , kindly extend your views on this and also their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances .
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
Its good to appear for as many entrances as possible. Because I believe at times you can’t do more than” a fixed maximum effort’s & you have to depend on LUCK… WHO knows when will it click it and you plan it properly .. theory of states exam helps you for weakness big exam you aim at.

DAMS: Which subjects did you focus on?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
SKIN, ENT, OPTHAL, ANAT, BIOCHEM & PSM & MICRO

DAMS: What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
I am very cautious in this respect (KIND of a best Player ). In all India I clicked 256 QS , In KCET .. there was no negative marking so had to go “ FULL MONTY)

DAMS: What do you want to specialize in, why and where?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap:
OPTHAMOLOGY... I wanna to in my parents (My MOM a retina specialist & DAD A REFRACTIVE SURGEON ... just want to add to the family HISTORY of OPTHAL).

DAMS: Which teachers in DAMS influenced you most and what do you like about DAMS and would recommend to your juniors?
Dr.Bibhuti P.Kashyap: Dr
RAJEEV TIWARI- His teaching had the Highest strike rate , Dr ACHIN MEHRA- always avilable (THANK YOU SIR), Dr SUMER SETHI – made me BELIVE IN MYSELF, Dr DEEPAK ARORA – Showed ME THE WAY TO “DO IT” (ENT), Dr RUCHI RAI- Sharpened my OPTHAL SKILLS , DR. ANUPAMA – just superb with phisiology ,DR. ARVIND – His medicine classes I tube the most (his teaching I cauld relate to the most)

I have already recommended DAMS to MY friends . JUST a SIMPLE REASON FOR IT: - I BELIEVE IN DAMS & I REALY ON IT FOR MY SUCCESS.. ALWAYS.. !!
