He secured Rank 49 IN MAY PGI CHANDIGARH 2012 Exam
DAMS: Congratulations on securing a good ranks. What is the secret of your success in this exam?
Dr.Anand Pasari: CONSISTENT HARD WORK, DETERMINATION AND ABILITY TO RISE ABOVE FAILURES and last but not the least , U NEED TO HAVE UR LUCK ON THE DAY OF EXAM.
DAMS: How did your parents, family and friends contribute to your success?
Dr.Anand Pasari: PARENTS have always been supporting and encouraging in all those times when we doubt our capabilities. I WUD LIKE TO THANK MY FRIENDS AND SENIORS AT GMC, MUMBAI for their help n valuable guidance.
DAMS: Who influenced you to take up Medicine?
Dr.Anand Pasari: MY SISTER DR.PRITI influenced me to take up medicine ever since my 9TH Standard
DAMS: We appreciate the fact that preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Dr.Anand Pasari: ALMOST EVERYDAY.....BUT I KNEW HARD WORK NEWER UNGOES UNPAID .........SO WAS CONFIDENT THAT I WUD ULTIMATELY SUCCEED ONE DAY...
DAMS: Which books did you read for the theory part?
Dr.Anand Pasari: ROBBINS, KDT, HARRISON, LIPPINCOT, PARSON, and RADDY GANONG AND MOST OF STANDARD Texts for UG’S........Harrison charts were useful
DAMS: Which books did you read for MCQ revision? Which revision books were the most productive and which were least?
Dr.Anand Pasari: GARG Pharma-most productive, each line imp, Arvind Arora for SARP, MICRO PSM VERY PRODUCTIVE.......BESIDES MOST IMP N RECOLLECTABLE were AMIT ASHISH N MK VOLUMES.....MUST READ...ACROSS good for 1st yr .......SUMER SIR’S RADIO BOOK N FORENSIC BOOK by Sumit Sethi are short and almost complete......

DAMS: How important you think was DAMS in your preparation?
Dr.Anand Pasari: I JOINED DAMS TEST SERIES for evaluating myself.........DAMS Tests Papers helped to know new topics.....NEW TRENDY Q’S helped a lot.........DAMS UPDATES booklet had most of changes in standard texts.......
DAMS: What do you think is the better way of preparation between selective, intensive study and wide, extensive study? What did you choose as your style of studying?
Dr.Anand Pasari: EXTENSIVE with standard texts during UG days and SELECTEVE INTENSIVE with MCQs during internship..........
DAMS: Indian PG entrances are highly competitive so to compete them students end up in appearing in multiple PG exams , kindly extend your views on this and also their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances .
Dr.Anand Pasari: MULTIPLE EXAMS help to gain confidence and U NEVER KNOW, your stars can shine in any of these exams........
DAMS: Which subjects did you focus on?
Dr.Anand Pasari: PHARMA, PSM, 1st yr and SHORT SUBJECTS......OTHERS I WAS ALREADY GOOD SINCE MY UG DAYS..........
DAMS: What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Dr.Anand Pasari: KEEP COOL ...BELIEVE IN MYSELF AND GOD.........and gave my best........attempted around 530 options in PGI.........
DAMS: What do you want to specialize in, why and where?
Dr.Anand Pasari: I took MS OPHTHALMOLOGY at PGIMER, CHANDIGARH .......one of the best and most prestigious institutes in the country......dream of every medico.........

DAMS: Which teachers in DAMS influenced you most and what do you like about DAMS and would recommend to your juniors?
Dr.Anand Pasari: SUMER SIR’S RADIO BOOK N FORENSIC BOOK by Sumit Sethi are short and almost complete...... DAMS UPDATES booklet had most of changes in standard texts.......DAMS TEST SERIES AND CLASSES are among the best available.......I recommend juniors to join them from pre-final or final yrs itself to get best results......wish u all the best...
