Interview with our topper Dr.Aditya Sunka

DAMS: Congratulation on securing a top rank in MCI Screening. What is the secret of your success in this exam?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: First of all I would like to thank DAMS who played a key role in my success. I went through the notes and study material provided by DAMS thoroughly and the lectures which helped me a lot.

DAMS: How did your parents, family and friends contribute to your success?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: My Parents and friends supported and encouraged me a lot.

DAMS: Who influenced you?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: My friends influenced me to join DAMS.

DAMS: We appreciate the fact that preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: I was confident enough about myself but appearing in competitive exams like FMGE luck matters a lot.  

DAMS: Which notes did you read for the theory part?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: I used to refer only the notes provided by DAMS and the class lectures. The notes of DAMS is really short and sweet. For competitive exams like FMGE  should go through the specific topics and studying in detail of each and every topic is useless.

DAMS: Which books did you read for MCQ revision? Which revision books were the most productive and which were least?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: I used to refer KAMALKV, DrRawat’s MCQ’S of OBG, DrKarolia’s MCQ’s of Ophthalmology. Kamal kv and Vivek Jain for PSM was the most productive.

DAMS: How important you think was DAMS in your preparation?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: I think without DAMS I could not have done this achievement.

DAMS: What do you think is the batter way of preparation between selective, intensive and wide, extensive study? What did you choose as your style of studying?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: I choose the selective way of study and because of selective study I could go through the revision also.

DAMS: Which subjects did you focus on?

Dr.Aditya Sunka:  I focused mainly on Opthal,OBG,PSM,Medicine,Surgery since these subjects are the scoring ones.

DAMS: What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: Just be cool and not to be tensed rest all leave it to God. I attempted almost all the questions.

DAMS: What do you want to specialize in, why and where?

Dr.Aditya Sunka: I wanted to specialize in Orthopaedics since I got inspired by Dr. Tushar Mehta sir.
