Interview with our topper Dr.Nishtha Yadav
Dr.Nishtha Yadav did her MBBS from MAMC, Delhi
and joined DAMS Foundation Course Regd no DL01232
She secured Rank 2 IN AIIMS Nov 2012 Exam
DAMS: Congratulations on securing a good  ranks. What is the secret of your success in this exam?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
Continuous studies in MBBS is what is needed, if you are regular with your studies, it’s easy to get through these exams.
DAMS: How did your parents, family and friends contribute to your success?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
They always supported me throughout. My parents, my sister Mansi Yadav and above all my grandmother.  Also, my amazing friends, I earned in MBBS Mugdha Anand, Neha Gurha, and Samrin Haq.
DAMS: Who influenced you to take up Medicine?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
My parents- my father is a Neurosurgeon and mumma is a gynaecologist. They have always been my inspiration.
DAMS: We appreciate the fact that preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
I believe in hard work. It always pays off is the end.  
DAMS:  Which books did you read for the theory part?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
Across, Amit Ashish, Mudit Khanna ,  Short subject – Arvind Arora, Govind  Garg- Pharma & Pathology, Vivek Jain for PSM.
DAMS : Which books did you read for MCQ revision? Which revision books were the most productive and which were least?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
Most productive –Amit Ashish, Mudit Khanna

DAMS : How important you think was DAMS in your preparation ?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
I joined the foundation course in DAMS which helped me clear my concepts from the beginning itself. Especially medicine taught by Arvind sir really cleared my concepts.
DAMS: What do you think is the better way of preparation between selective, intensive study and wide, extensive study? What did you choose as your style of studying?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
Definitely centre o grade for me. As long as your theory is strong you can always solve any MCQ especially the new ones.
DAMS: Indian PG entrances are highly competitive so to compete them students end up in appearing in multiple PG exams , kindly extend your views on this and also their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances .
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:  
AIIMS was the first exam I appeared for and the result was at before my NEET exam.
[PGI got cancelled]
DAMS: Which subjects did you focus on?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:  
First year, Pathology, Pharmacology, Medicine, Surgery & OBG.
DAMS: What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:  
I attempted 190 Question in AIIMS. I had seen the previous tread and knew that 190-195 questions should be the minimum amount to be attempted.
DAMS: What do you want to specialize in, why and where?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
Medicine MD, later on hopefully DM Cardiology.

DAMS: Which teachers in DAMS influenced you most and what do you like about DAMS and would recommend to your juniors?
Dr.Nishtha Yadav:
Medicine in foundation course I found him the best faculty member there i would definitely recommend DAMS to my juniors.
