My family had faith in me and they supported me the whole year so that I could just concentrate on my preparation without any distraction. My friends too had a vital role in my success as we would discuss on our weaknesses and strengths, and thus work on improving ourselves.

DAMS: Who influenced you to take up Medicine?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
My family.

DAMS: We appreciate the fact that preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
No, I just kept faith in me and kept on moving in the direction that DAMS showed.

DAMS:  Which books did you read for the theory part?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
No theory books……….just DAMS CLASS NOTES.

DAMS : Which books did you read for MCQ revision? Which revision books were the most productive and which were least?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
frankly telling, I didn’t read any MCQ book in particular…..just did few papers of past AIIMS and AIPGE…….while revising I just kept my focus on class notes and DAMS Exclusive Club on fb.

DAMS : How important you think was DAMS in your preparation ?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
Apart from my family and God……..major chunk of my success is devoted to DAMS family. I just relied on DAMS notes for preparation and it paid off very well. Apart from that DAMS Exclusive Club on fb and NLTs proved to be very beneficial at the eleventh hour of preparation. Without DAMS it would not have been possible.

DAMS: What do you think is the better way of preparation between selective, intensive study and wide, extensive study? What did you choose as your style of studying?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
I just studied in my limits. Didn’t go for wide study. Just kept my focus on class notes and tests.

DAMS: Indian PG entrances are highly competitive so to compete them students end up in appearing in multiple PG exams , kindly extend your views on this and also their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances .
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
Personally I feel that NEET should be validated. I believe in one India, one exam.

DAMS: Which subjects did you focus on?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
There was no special focus on any subject. Just went with planning.

DAMS: What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
I was quite relaxed on THE day, especially because of DAMS NLTs that I gave. I attempted all questions as Dr. Sumer Sethi advised us.

DAMS: What do you want to specialize in, why and where?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
I dreamt of G. Surgery in my hometown (Amritsar). And I’m quite sure of getting it at my rank.

DAMS: Which teachers in DAMS influenced you most and what do you like about DAMS and would recommend to your juniors?
Dr Daksh Mahajan:
All teachers were just awesome. They were all very cooperative and understanding. But my hats off to Dr. Sumer Sethi for the inspiring words that he delivers that boosts off the confidence in students. I’m a die hard fan of his pre-lecture inspiring talks. Thanks a lot ‘DAMS Family’.
I would surely recommend DAMS to juniors as it made my career.

This was the first batch at Amritsar and I was so thankful to God that it came in my hometown just when I required. We were provided with all the top Faculty members here and the moderators were too very friendly. All in all, it was an awesome experience and my success is devoted to DAMS Family.
Thanks a lot.
