ranks. What is the secret of your success in this exam?
Dr. Himangshu Sarma: Credit to my success almost totally goes to DAMS. Regular and selective study is important for success in PG entrance exam.

friends contribute to your success?
Dr.Himangshu Sarma: A huge contribution from them.

Medicine?
Dr.Himangshu Sarma: My parents and tutoriess although I was not interested initially.

DAMS: We appreciate the fact that
preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During
your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Dr.Himangshu Sarma: I did not have much confidence initially. But during later part of T&D course I started gaining confidence and I do not think that it is too tough.

Which books did you read for the theory part?
Dr. Himangshu Sarma: M.K. AA and few subject wise books and DAMS class notes.

were the most productive and which were least?
Dr. Himangshu Sarma: MK is most productive.

DAMS : How important you think was DAMS in your preparation ?
Dr.Himangshu Sarma: Without DAMS I could not do even half of what I have done today.
DAMS: What do you think is the better
way of preparation between selective, intensive study and wide, extensive
study? What did you choose as your style of studying?
Dr. Himangshu Sarma: Selective study. I started very late for preparing for exams & i have no time for extensive /intensive study.

DAMS: Indian PG entrances are highly
competitive so to compete them students end up in appearing in multiple PG
exams , kindly extend your views on this and also their pros and cons of
appearing in multiple PG entrances .
Dr.Himangshu Sarma: Personally I prefer multiple exams because it eliminates the risk of bad luck on a single day of single exam.

Dr.Himangshu Sarma: I focused on all subjects equally except the shorter ones.

exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Dr.Himangshu Sarma: I attempted all the questions because there was no negative marking.

you most and what do you like about DAMS and would recommend to your juniors?
Dr.Himangshu Sarma: It is difficult to say who influenced me most but still I like to mention Dr. Sumer Sir, Orthopaedics Sir, Surgery Sir, SPM Sir, Physiology Madam, ENT Sir.
