DAMS: How did y:our parents, family and
friends contribute to your success?
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: My parents supported me throughout my drop year and never let me feel like these exams were the end all and be all. Friends were crucial moral supports as well as study companions.

Medicine?
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: It had been a childhood dream.

DAMS: We appreciate the fact that
preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During
your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: Always. It is difficult not to do so, seeing the amount of competition and hard work required.

Which books did you read for the theory part?
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: My central focus has been class notes for all the subjects. I had read the standard textbooks eg. Davidson, robbins, ghai etc during MBBS days.

DAMS : Which books did you read for MCQ revision? Which revision books
were the most productive and which were least?
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: I did not focus too much on the mcq books. Ruchi rai’s opthal book and Sumer sirs Radio book to fill in lacunae in class notes. I read AA and MK for some of the subjects. I stayed away from across.

DAMS : How important you think was DAMS in your preparation ?
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: It was extremely important as it provided the class notes as well as a structured syllabus.
DAMS: What do you think is the better
way of preparation between selective, intensive study and wide, extensive
study? What did you choose as your style of studying?
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: Selective intensive study

DAMS: Indian PG entrances are highly
competitive so to compete them students end up in appearing in multiple PG
exams , kindly extend your views on this and also their pros and cons of
appearing in multiple PG entrances .
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: Multiple exams are better in terms of performance as it can vary from day to day depending on many factors. But seeing how single exam is the only way to ensure a fair system, it is probably better to have a single exam.

Dr.Sujata Ganguly: All subjects during prep. For DNB, special emphasis on the subjects carrying max weightage i.e first yr subjects, psm etc

exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: There was no negative marking, hence I attempted all.

Dr.Sujata Ganguly: General Medicine from any reputed college.

DAMS: Which teachers in DAMS influenced
you most and what do you like about DAMS and would recommend to your juniors?
Dr.Sujata Ganguly: Dams strength is its faculty. Each and every teacher was excellent in terms of explanation, notes provided and availability to solve doubts at Dams Ex Club or otherwise. I would definitely recommend it to my juniors.
