She secured Rank 1759 AIR and Punjab PG 42 IN NEET 2012 & DNB CET 748 Exam
DAMS: Congratulations on securing a good ranks. What is the secret of your success in this exam?
Dr. Heena Garg:
Hard work and repetition is the key.
DAMS: How did your parents, family and friends contribute to your success?
Dr. Heena Garg:
Everyone has testing times and my family and friends stood by me every time I was even a bit demoralized.
DAMS: Who influenced you to take up Medicine?
Dr. Heena Garg:
my father who happens to be a doctor himself is an inspiration to me always.
DAMS: We appreciate the fact that preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Dr. Heena Garg:
yes a lot many times...especially after having some lows in some exams
DAMS:  Which books did you read for the theory part?
Dr. Heena Garg:
Robbins, Harrison, Biochem, opthal and micro theory books must be done
DAMS : Which books did you read for MCQ revision? Which revision books were the most productive and which were least?
Dr. Heena Garg:
MC is a very good book...I recommend it to everyone even if he/she is not preparing for pgi.. i found many DNB and neet ques from that book that were in my session
and of course latest papers from AA and MK..

DAMS : How important you think was DAMS in your preparation ?
Dr. Heena Garg:
DAMS has always kept me motivated. The teachers are always there to clear your doubts and guide you.
DAMS: What do you think is the better way of preparation between selective, intensive study and wide, extensive study? What did you choose as your style of studying?
Dr. Heena Garg:
selective intensive
DAMS: Indian PG entrances are highly competitive so to compete them students end up in appearing in multiple PG exams , kindly extend your views on this and also their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances .
Dr. Heena Garg:
single entrance is better if it tests students on the same platform.
DAMS: Which subjects did you focus on?
Dr. Heena Garg
: Short subjects, Biochem, Opthal and Micro.
DAMS: What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Dr. Heena Garg:
Since there was no negative, I marked all. The strategy is to keep cool.
DAMS: What do you want to specialize in, why and where?
Dr. Heena Garg:
I want to do anaesthesia in Delhi or Chandigarh. My father is also an anaesthetist..So I want to follow his footsteps.
DAMS: Which teachers in DAMS influenced you most and what do you like about DAMS and would recommend to your juniors?
Dr. Heena Garg:
Dr. Sumer Sethi , OBG mam and everyone at DAMS was always there to help. The standard of test papers is always good and the faculty is an inspiration itself..Good luck to all fellow DAMSONIANS!!!
