friends contribute to your success?
Dr. Sonam Singla: My parents are my strength. without their support I would be nothing. in my difficult times and stressful conditions which are a part of life of a medico, only my parents stand along with me and gave me courage and support..

preparing for an extremely competitive exam must be really challenging. During
your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?
Dr. Sonam Singla: YA, Multiple times but the job of a medico is to do nothing but the hard work by heart. Rest all depends on his/her luck and God’s blessings..

DAMS: Which books did you read for MCQ revision? Which revision books
were the most productive and which were least?
Dr. Sonam Singla: I mainly focussed on DAMS notes during revision...coz during revision I did not have enough time to go through all the stuff I read during whole year...Otherwise I also read standard books AA, MK, ACROSS...

DAMS : How important you think was DAMS in your preparation ?
Dr. Sonam Singla: DAMS played a key role in my preparation because of this I could make proper orientation and regularity in studies...
DAMS: What do you think is the better
way of preparation between selective, intensive study and wide, extensive
study? What did you choose as your style of studying?
Dr. Sonam Singla: selective study is v.imp as in last days near exam one has to revise all the stuff.

DAMS: Indian PG entrances are highly
competitive so to compete them students end up in appearing in multiple PG
exams , kindly extend your views on this and also their pros and cons of
appearing in multiple PG entrances .
Dr. Sonam Singla: As we all know now a days concept of multiple exams has been changed...there is common entrance exam NEET...because of lot many controversies on NEET this year, let’s see how much this trend prevails!!!!!!

DAMS: Which subjects did you focus on?
Dr. Sonam Singla: short subjects take less time to cover and really are very scoring and I focused more on these...long subjects like surgery, medicine consume so much time and every time questions from these subjects are totally new, so these new are same for all students..

DAMS: What was your strategy for the
exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Dr. Sonam Singla: As there is no negative marking I attempted all questions..time is not a big deal in DNB exam sp.180 questions in 3 hours…enough time….just be calm, pray to God, everything will be all right..

in, why and where?
Dr. Sonam Singla: In DNB I will opt for Radiodiagnosis but final decision depends on NEET results..Fingers crossed!!

DAMS: Which teachers in DAMS influenced
you most and what do you like about DAMS and would recommend to your juniors?
Dr. Sonam Singla: Dr. Sumer Sethi, ENT sir, Physio mam, Pharma sir, Opthal mam, Biochem mam, anatomy sir [thank you sir for making tough subject like anatomy so easy], all were just awesome in their teaching...all are very encouraging..
